Beloved husband of Lyn (nee Gibbons), caring father of Julie (Shawn Murphy), Brian and Faye Pears (Peter) and grandfather of Emily Pears. Brother of Faye (William) Stuart of Toronto, and uncle to Valerie, Tracey, Laura, and Heather. Predeceased by parents Ruggles and Clara. An avid soccer coach, he will be missed by many friends and team members. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Tuesday December 11th, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday after 12 noon until the service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be appreciated."1
