Her hat was a picture hat of orchid lace straw, with satin streamers. She carried a shower bouquet of butterfly roses and valley lilies, and wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Her maid, Miss Anna Syron, a sister, wore a frock of French blue shadow taffeta, fashioned with basque bodice and ruffled skirt, caught at right side with bouquet of French flowers with streamers of rose satin ribbon. Her hat was flesh lace straw with scarf of flesh tulle, hanging to the hemline of her dress. She carried an arm bouquet of ophelia roses and baby breath. Mr. Donnegan was attended by his brother, Thomas Donnegan. After the ceremony, a reception was given for the immediate relatives at the bride's at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Donnegan have left for a motor trip through the New England states and will be home at 327 Sumner Ave. after July 10." The Marriage License Application #1121 on June 18, 1928 states: Joseph A. Donegan, white, laborer, born Pennsylvania, age 23, living at 328 17th Street in Scranton, first marriage, not related to intended spouse.
