Burial to be on January 8, in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hamilton and funeral director was James Dwyer, Hamilton.
Medical Certificate:
Died on January 5th, 1948 and the doctor provided the following information for the Coroners Investigation as he did not attend to her. Cause of death was due to pulmonary infarcts due to multiple pulmonary emboli associated with extensive double hydrothorax and almost complete collapse of both lungs. All of this and other findings due to recent right heart failure due to chronic myocarditis and general arteriosclerosis and severe hypothyroidism. Sudden death occured on the surgical table and an autopsy was performed. Sudden death from natural causes following introduction of brochoscope on the operating table without any evidence of negligence on the part of the attending Physicians or others concerned.; Principal=Mary Loretta Roarke5

In failing health for a number of years, Mrs. Thomas L. Gibbbons passed away at her home on Friday, October 9. She was in her 84th year.
A lifelong resident of west Gwillimbury, Mrs. Gibbons was born on the 12th Concession, Ellen Jane Keaney and was the last surviving member of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Keaney. In 1889, she was married in Bradford to the late Thomas Gibbons and continued as a West Gwillimbury resident of the Gilford district where she and her husband farmed.
Their family of two daughters and three sons all survive, namely, Miss Bertha J., of New York City; Edmund of Lefroy; Mrs. Jos. Cronan (Gertrude) of Gilford; Lenard, on the home farm; and Leo of stroud. As well as her husband she was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Edwin Harrison, and one brother, John Keaney.
Mrs. Gibbons had been a lifelong member of Holy Martyrs' Church, Bradford, and her funeral on Tuesday, October 13 was from that church with Requiem High Mass by Rev. F. R. McGinn, priest of the church, and Rev. H. M. Clarkson of Orangeville.
The pallbearers were five grandsons of the deceased and a nephew, namely, Harold, Lewis, John and Francis Cronan, Pat Gibbons and Arthur Harrison.
Interment was in McGann's Roman Catholic Cemetery."
Notes by Sister Edmund Gibbons: A daughter, Florence Gibbons, was omitted from the obituary. She died in 1926 from TB. Also Pat Gibbons, pallbearer, was an adopted son of Leonard Gibbons.8
