The ceremony and the nuptial mass, which followed were performed by Rev. William P. McAndrew, of Towanda, Pa., a cousin of the bride. During the ceremony and the mass several selections were sung by Joseph Kane. The bride was charming in a French frock, of flesh pussy-willow taffeta, fashioned with tight fitting bodice, and bouffant effect skirt, with the irregular line. Her hat was a picture hat of orchid lace straw, with satin streamers. She carried a shower bouquet of butterfly roses and valley lilies, and wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Her maid, Miss Anna Syron, a sister, wore a frock of French blue shadow taffeta, fashioned with basque bodice and ruffled skirt, caught at right side with bouquet of French flowers with streamers of rose satin ribbon. Her hat was flesh lace straw with scarf of flesh tulle, hanging to the hemline of her dress. She carried an arm bouquet of ophelia roses and baby breath. Mr. Donnegan was attended by his brother, Thomas Donnegan. After the ceremony, a reception was given for the immediate relatives at the bride's at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Donnegan have left for a motor trip through the New England states and will be home at 327 Sumner Ave. after July 10."

Peacefully at Empress Gardens on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the age of 93. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Irene McCabe. Sister of the late Austin McCabe and his wife Margaret. Lifetime friend of the late Clark Armstrong (2007). She will be remembered by Mary Clark and her family and many friends.

A memorial mass will be held at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 am. If desired, donations to the Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at Empress Gardens for their exceptional care.2

Burial is to be on Aug. 1, 1945 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto. The Medical Certificate states that she was only followed by the physician on that day. Immediate cause of death was lobar pneumonia due to poisoning of undetermined origin. There was an autopsy and it was stated that the death was accidental probably due to luminal poisoning, signed by the coroner. (Note: luminal is phenobarbital)1

Parents are Eugene McCarthy, born Toronto and Dorothy Bindon, born England and residing at 441 Gerrard Street. Buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery on the 18th of August. Medical certificate states that he was sice with diarrhea and vomitting from Aug. 14th and died of convulsions and exhaustion.; Principal=Douglas Robert McCarthy5

Eugene McCarthy, died in St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, York County, Ontario at the age of 55 years. He had been in the city and province for all of his life and his last residence was 64 Gifford Street, Toronto. Listed as a male, Canadian, Irish, married, born in Toronto on July 17, 1887, truck driver of steel wares and had last worked at the job in January 1943 and he had worked in that field for 14 years. His wife is Dorothy Bindon and his father is Joseph McCarthy, born Ontario and Margaret Gibbons also born in Ontario. Information provided by his wife of 44 Gifford Street. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery on 23 February 1943 and undertaker was F. Roran of Toronto. Medical certificate states that he died on the 21st of February and had been seen by his doctor since the 13th and was last seen by him on the 20th. He died of bronchopneumonia following surgery for cancer of the stomach. Surgery was on the 13th of February.; Witness=Dorothy Bindon6
