The death of Catherine Sage, dearly beloved wife of Henry Hanlon, occurred at the family residence, Lot 9, Concession 1, North Oxford Township shortly after nine o'clock on Wednesday morning, June 19th. Deceased who was in her 73rd year, was born in North Norwich Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Redmond Sage, and had been a resident of North Oxford Township since her marriage. She had been in failing health for the past three years and was confined to her bed for about four months.
Mrs. Hanlon was highly esteemed in North Oxford Township and in the town of Ingersoll where she had many friends who will learn with sincere regret of her passing. She was a faithful member of the congregation of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ingersoll, and when health permitted took a active part in the work of the church and the following church organizations of which she was a member, the Catholic Women's League, the Altar Society, and the League of the Sacred Heart and St. Anne's Mission Circle.
Surviving to mourn her passing besides her husband are two sons, James Hanlon and Patrick Hanlon, North Oxford; a daughter, Mary, (Mrs. Leo. Winterhalt), North Oxford; two grandchildren, Catherine Winterhalt and Patricia Hanlon; four sisters, Misses Ellen and Sarah Sage, Ingersoll, and Elizabeth and Agnes Sage, London; also three brothers, John Sage, Ingersoll and George Sage and James Sage, Detroit, Mich.
The funeral will be held from the family residence, Lot 9, Con. 1, North Oxford Township on Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ingersoll, where requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.2 
Burial22 June 1940 Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada; Catherine and her husband Henry are buried together.2,8

Retired farmer, lived in Ingersoll about 40 years and worked as a farmer for 40 years. Parents were Redmond Sage and Ellen Callahan, both born Ireland. Information provided by Miss Sage of 35 Ann Street, Ingersoll, sister. Buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, November 20, 1940 by R. Preston T. Walker, Undertaker, Ingersoll. Medical Cause of Death. Died November 18, 1940, had been seen by MD from October 23rd of the same year and was last seen alive by him on November 16th. Died of Coronary Thrombosis due to Arteriosclerosis. Also had multiple fractures of the pelvis on October 23, 1940, no surgery was performed. Was involved in an accident - was crushed against a wall by a horse and had five fractures of pelvis.
