| Obituary | 8 June 2025 | Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada; "Arnold ARMES Obituary It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arnold Armes on June 8, 2025, just three days before his 91st birthday. He is predeceased by his devoted wife of 70 years, Shirley (February 28, 2025), and his brother, Alex (December 22, 1990). Proud and loving dad to Jim & Chris, Carol & Mark, and Kathy & Pete. Adoring grandpa to Kori, and Kyla & Andrew. Great-grandpa to Zara, Felix, Dom, and Owen. Arnold will be missed by his brother-in-law and closest friend, Jim Young, many cherished nieces and nephews, as well as beloved long-time friends and neighbours. All the furry family members over the years held a special place in his heart. Arnold dedicated his life to his family; he was our strength, our support, and our fearless leader, loving nothing more than to cheer us in our successes and comfort us in our times of need. As partners in Harris TV, Arnold and Max Harris worked side by side for decades and shared family vacations. All friends and family were welcomed into our home with the utmost in hospitality; the evenings were filled with laughs, euchre, and country music. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hospice Niagara for their loving care of Arnold in his final days, as well as their overwhelming kindness and generosity towards our family. If so desired, donations can be made in his memory at https://www.hospiceniagara.ca or https://savemedogrescue. ca/donations/ A celebration of life for Arnold and Shirley will be held at The 447 Wing, 3210 Homestead Drive, Mount Hope, on June 22nd from 2 to 5 p.m."1 |
