He leaves his wife of 40 years, Shirley Auger; four sons and a daughter, Wayne Auger and his wife, Dawn, of Rutland; David Auger Jr., and Karen of Worcester; Dana and his wife, Sara, of Stoughton; Melissa and her husband, Randy Grandmaison, of Webster; a sister, Jean Doucet and her husband, Sam, of Leominster; a brother, Charles and his wife, Pam, of Mason, NH; eight grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. He was born in Fitchburg, son of Beatrice (Metivier) and Charles Auger. David was an avid fisherman and enjoyed vacationing in Maine. A memorial service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
