However, there is a death record on November 29, 1933 for a Samuel DuBoudieu, born in 1886 in Newfoundland, who died in Laconia (145 Plesant Street) of Cardiac Insufficiency. It states he was buried on Dec. 1, 1933 in Union Cemetery in Laconia.^1,3

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Duffenais announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at the age of 77 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Yvonne (nee Young), four sons: Tony (Viki) of St. John's, Roy (Sherry) of Gillam, Manitoba, Brad (Veronica) of Corner Brook, Randy of Stephenville, three daughters: Diane (David) Carey of Toronto, Darlene Duffenais (Greg Simms) of Petawawa, Viki Duffenais (Jay Maloney) of Corner Brook, four sisters: Mary, Dorothy, Alice, Mildred, seven grandchildren: Cheryl, T.J., Sean, Jennifer, Neil, Simon, Penny and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Isabel Duffenais, seven brothers, Gerald, Freddie, Ronnie, Reginald, Somerfield, Leonard, Mark. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Parish, West Street, Stephenville. Cremation will take place after the Funeral Service at Russell's Crematorium, Stephenville. Interment will take place on Thursday, June 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. "⁵

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mark Duffenais announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Wednesday, January 19, 2000 at the age of 71 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sheila and one son, Bob (Janet) Duffenais in Edmonton, Alberta and three daughters: Isabel (Jim) Mullen and Ellen (Kevin) Hogan, all in Carleton Place, Ontario, Ann Marie (Kent) Blandford in St. John's, NF and one brother, John Desmond (Yvonne) Duffenais in Stephenville and four sisters: Dorothy White in Seattle, USA, Mary Besaw in Alberta, Alice (David) Pickles in Toronto, Ontario, Mildred (Clarence) White in Stephenville; nine grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 22nd at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stephen's Parish, West Street in Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.
