She married William Barrett Franks on June 2, 1907, in Newburg, Ark. They moved to Wellington, Texas in 1912 and back to Arkansas in 1918. They later moved to Erick from Arkansas and then in 1926 they moved to Shamrock. In 1959 they made their home in Sayre. Flora moved to Albuquerque in January of 1988 to be near her son. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Sayre. Mrs. Franks was predeceased in death by her parents, husband, three daughters and one son. She is survived by three daughters, Jean Williams of Pasadena, Texas, Melba Miller of Nacogdoches, Texas, Zela Balkcom of Sayre; four sons, R.L. of Albuquerque, E.E. of Truth or Consequences, N. M., O. B. of Austin, Texas, Harold of Deer Park, Texas; one sister, Nora Bibb of Wenatchee, Washington; 15 grandchildren; and a number of great and great-great grandchildren.9 |
