Mrs. Franks was a pioneer woman minister, traveling with her husband and conducting revivals in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. They also pastored together in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. After retiring, R.L. Franks built churches throughout the Southwest with Mary at his side. Services were held Thursday, September 20, 2001, at 2:00 p.m., at Evangel Christian Center, 4501 Montgomery NE, with Rev. R. Kenneth George officiating. Interment will take place Friday, September 21, 2001, at 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Las Cruces, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that remembrances be given in Mary's name to either Evangel Christian Center Memorial Fund or Evangel Christian Academy Foundation, both at 4501 Montgomery NE, 87109. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE."1
