In the military records of Dennis Boudreau, her husband, it states that she stopped receiving his War pay on April 1, 1919 and that his pay was sent to Mrs. Ernest Moignard of 10 Cunard Court, Halifax on May 1 (Mrs. Ernest Moignard was the sister of Rose). Rose had been living at 4 Cunard Court and had received his pay for the previous 3 years while he was Overseas with the Canadian Army. On the same form, there is a handwritten note that says "Mrs. Annie Murphy, guardian" - there is another word with guardian that I cannot read. It appears that Dennis left overseas on April 2, 1919 and would probably have arrived in Halifax about the middle of April. What had happened to Rose? Had she separated from him while he was away? Her daughter would have been just turning 15. I cannot find any of the family in the 1921 Census including the Moignard family.¹¹

Note

Dennis married again in 1922. I have not been able to find any Divorce or Annulment Records for Rose and Dennis and when he married in 1922, he stated he was a bachelor, not a "widower".
In the Estate Affadavit for Mary Madeline Boudreau, two of Isabel Marshall Moignard's grandchildren, Ernest Moignard III and Charles Longley, Jr. stated in 2001, that their grandmother often would visit a sister in the Sydney, Cape Breton area. Could this have been Rose? Charles Longley was born in 1935 and Ernest Moignard in 1926, so it seems that if it was Rose, that she would have been alive after 1933, when her daughter stated she had died.¹²

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; The only indication that I currently have of Rose's death is that her daughter stated in a 1940 record that her mother was deceased in Halifax at the age of 50.¹³

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on August 1, 2010 Terry Marshall of Burin age 61 years. Leaving to mourn wife Ursula; son Richard (Tracy) of Pasadena; daughters Kelly Ann (Andrew) of St. John's and Andrea of Edmonton; grandchildren Nickolas, Alexa, Rhys and Gwyn; sister Mary-Lou Marshall; brother Alfred Marshall plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Richard and Mary Marshall. Father Steve Courtney officiated Funeral Mass from St. Patrick's RC Church, Burin on Friday, August 6th at 1PM with internment following at RC Cemetery, Fox Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Pall Bearers were Brian Power, Brian Antle, Eugene Power, Dennis Roff, Vince Power and Matthew Marshall. Cross Bearer was Randy Penny.³

Leaving to mourn her nieces and nephews Sr. Marcella Grant, Ursula (Leo) Desmarteau, Eileen (Michael) Collins, Hugh (Pearl) Grant, Thomas Grant, Alfred Marshall, Mary Louise Marshall, Juliana White, Charles White and Walter White as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.⁶

I give to Thomas Marshall, my grandson, (son of my son, Matthew) all my premises situate on the northeast of a line drawn from the centre of the wharf, to the extreme north west side of my meadow, which will embrace the fish-store and all other buildings, erections and lands belonging to me on the north east side of said line, bounded and abutted by the property now in the possession of my, son Matthew Marshall, provided that should the said Thomas Marshall, my grandson, die before he arrives at 21 years of age, then the above bequest to revert to his father, Matthew Marshall, his heirs or assignees.
I also give to each of my grandchildren the sum of ten pounds currency to be invested in the Savings Bank at St. John's, Newfoundland in their respective names, and to remain at interest till such time as they shall respectively attain the age of 21 years when each child shall be entitled to receive the same. Provided that should any of my grandchildren die before they arrive at the aforesaid 21 years of age, the said sums with interest, which may have arisen theron, shall be given in equal parts to the surviving brothers and sisters of such deceased children.¹

Lands consist of a garden and meadow bounded on the north-west by a high hill, on the north-east by convent grounds and John Marshall's, on the west by Matthew Marshall's (Sr.) property and the landwash. Boundaries consist of from half the lane from Matthew Marshall's (Sr.) property to a rock with a ring-bolt in it under John Marshall's house, for her, my loving wife to have and to hold until her death.

Leaving to mourn one sister, Teresa, St. Patrick's Mercy Home as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday, March 10, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery."⁶

DON MARSHALL, 78 of Chester, NH - Walter D. Marshall, 78. Of Chester, NH died Saturday January 5, 2013 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston, MA surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 30, 1934 in Somerville, MA, a son of the late Walter and Eleanor (Coffin) Marshall. He was raised in Somerville, where he graduated Somerville High School. Don was a resident of Andover, MA for 36 years before moving to Chester, NH 11 years ago. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. Mr. Marshall loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rita (Hagan) Marshall of Chester, one son, Keith Marshall and his wife Kimber of Chester, one daughter, Donna Lucinskas and her husband John of Windham, four beloved grandchildren, Nathan Marshall, Emily Lucinskas, Riley Lucinskas, and Jack Lucinskas, one sister, Dolores Hoegfeldt and her husband Jon of Minnetonka, MN, brothers-in-law, James F. Hagan and Thomas Hagan and his wife Jean, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday January 12, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.¹
