| Research Note* | A Rootsweb tree, Hutto-Martin, in 2002 by researcher Nelda Martin (jamparis@sbcglobal.net) has: William Galloway ... sold land in SC in 1805, moved to Henry County, AL, sometime between 1821 and 1826. In 1837 he and his son, Jesse Washington, bought land side by side on what is now Hwy 431 just south of Lawrenceville. They later moved south near Capps. In the 1850 census he was living with Jesse Washington. | |
| Birth* | circa 1780 | Darlington District, South Carolina, USA1,2 |
| (Witness) Note | Abraham Galloway; Probable children of Abraham Galloway #1821 are Abraham Galloway #1912 on this site, Eleazer Galloway #1312, and William Galloway #1442. I have not found the paper records to confirm this family and have not found confirmation by other researchers. However, dna tests match my family (descendants of Eleazer Galloway) with a descendant of Abraham Galloway #1912, called Abraham Galloway Jr. in most public trees. If this Abraham is the son of Abraham #1821 then the strong implication is that Eleazer and Abraham Jr. are brothers and that Abraham #1821 is their father, mother unknown. | |
